What is ClassifiedPing?

ClassifiedPing is a service that continuously monitors new listings on Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace. As soon as a new listing that matches your alert is posted, you get notified within seconds to minutes by email, push, Telegram, Discord, RSS or the live dashboard with sound alert.
How is ClassifiedPing different from Kijiji's own alerts?

Kijiji's own saved search emails are not instant and usually arrive as a periodic summary. ClassifiedPing checks continuously and notifies you within seconds to minutes as soon as there is a match. On top of that, ClassifiedPing offers AI filtering, seller blocking, filtering out top ads and paid boosts, and multiple platforms in one dashboard.
Which platforms are supported?

ClassifiedPing monitors two platforms: Kijiji (Canada) and Facebook Marketplace. You choose per alert which platform you want to watch. Please note: Facebook Marketplace alerts are checked once every 30 minutes (instead of continuously) and are available on paid plans.
Is ClassifiedPing available as an app?

Yes, ClassifiedPing has an app for Android. You sign in with your existing account and get your notifications as push messages on your phone. In the app you create and manage alerts (including for Facebook Marketplace), choose your notification channels per alert and view your results. You manage your subscription and the connection with Telegram or Discord on the website.
How it works
How do I set up an alert?

After creating an account, go to
New alert. Enter your search term, choose a platform, optionally set filters (category, price, location) and choose how you want to be notified. You will get your first results within a few minutes.
How fast do I get notified about a new listing?

Our system checks for new listings continuously. You get notified within seconds to minutes after a listing is posted, so you can be the first to respond.
Are top ads and bumped listings filtered out?
▾
Yes. We filter out top ads, promoted listings and listings bumped up for a fee. You only see and receive truly new listings, without the noise of paid visibility.
How many alerts can I set up?

That depends on your plan. With the Basic plan you can set up to 5 alerts, with the Business plan up to 15. Each alert can have its own platform, filters and notification settings.
Can I choose per alert how I get notified?

Yes, for each alert you can set separately whether you want notifications by email, push notification (app), Telegram and/or Discord. That way you can turn on every channel for important alerts and only email for less urgent ones.
Can I pause my alerts?

Yes, you can pause any alert and resume it later from the
alerts page. Your settings and filters are kept.
AI filtering
What is AI filtering?
▾
AI filtering is a unique feature of ClassifiedPing. You describe in your own words what you are looking for, and our AI reads every listing to decide whether it is relevant. That way you only get notifications that truly fit your alert, without irrelevant results.
How do I use the AI filter?

When you create or edit an alert, you will find the "AI filter" field. Describe in your own words what you want. For example: "I only want lots of at least 10 books, no single copies or e-books" or "Only iPhones in good condition, no cracked screens".
Does AI filtering work on all platforms?
▾
Yes, AI filtering works on both platforms: Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace. The AI assesses the title and description of every listing, whatever the platform.
Sellers and results
Can I block sellers?
▾
Yes, if you keep seeing the same dealer or seller in your results, you can block them. Blocked sellers no longer appear in your notifications. You can do this from the
search results or through the link in your email notifications.
Can I mark results as favourite or read?
▾
Yes, on the
search results page you can mark listings as favourite (star) or as read. You can filter on unread, read or favourites. If you click "View" to open a listing, it is automatically marked as read.
Can I hide results?
▾
Yes, you can hide individual results by clicking the trash icon. Hidden results no longer appear in your overview.
Notifications
Which notification channels are supported?

ClassifiedPing supports six ways to get notified: email, push notifications through the mobile app, Telegram, Discord, RSS feed, and the live dashboard with sound alert in your browser. You choose per alert which channels you use.
How does the live dashboard with sound alert work?
▾
Keep the
dashboard or the
search results page open in your browser. As soon as a new listing comes in, you hear a ping and, if you have allowed it, a browser notification appears. Ideal when you are working on your computer and still want to be the first to respond. You can turn the sound on and off per account.
How do I use the RSS feed?

On your
dashboard you will find an RSS URL for all your alerts combined. Each alert also has its own RSS URL on its edit page. Paste this URL into an RSS reader such as Feedly or Reeder, or use it in IFTTT, Zapier or Slack to forward notifications to other tools.
How do I connect Telegram?

Go to your
profile page and click "Connect Telegram". You will be sent to our Telegram bot. Tap "Start" and your account is connected automatically. From then on you also get notifications through Telegram.
How do I connect Discord?
▾
Open the Discord server where you want to receive notifications (your own server or one where you have the permissions). Click the gear next to the channel →
Integrations →
Webhooks →
New Webhook. Give the webhook a name (e.g. "ClassifiedPing") and click
Copy Webhook URL. Paste that URL on your
profile page under "Discord notifications" and save. From now on, matches appear in your Discord channel as rich messages with photo, price and a direct link.
Can I change the notification settings for all alerts at once?

Yes, at the bottom of the
alerts page you will find a "Notification settings" section where you can change the channels for all your alerts in one go.

How much does ClassifiedPing cost?

ClassifiedPing offers two plans: the Basic plan for $24.99/month (5 alerts) and the Business plan for $49.99/month (15 alerts). Both plans include AI filtering, push notifications, Telegram, Discord and seller blocking. Prices are in CAD, plus applicable taxes.
Can I try ClassifiedPing for free?

Can I cancel monthly?
▾
Yes, ClassifiedPing is a monthly subscription you can cancel at any time. There are no long-term contracts or hidden fees.
How do I change my password?
▾
Go to your
profile page and scroll to "Change password". Enter your current password and choose a new password of at least 8 characters.
